More Articulation Tips
Keeping your neck and upper body free will help facility in articulation. The tongue is attached to the hyoid bone (a bone above the esophagus) and the jaw, so make sure that your neck is free and balanced. If you are holding tension in your neck it can cause the tongue to feel 'fat' and tense. Likewise, think about keeping both arms, but especially the right arm, free floating so that unintended tension at attachment points in the in the shoulder area also do not cause neck tension. This in turn, will help free up your compound tonguing.
