Professional Development

August is always an exciting month for those of us attending the National Flute Association Convention. If you are new to attending these kinds of events, let me offer a few tips. Decide which events are on your 'must see' list and plan around these events first, then  fill in your day with other events. It will take time to get from one event to the next, and always takes more time that you can imagine to get up to your room after big events let out. The full schedule is up on the NFA website. Schedule time to go to the exhibit room also or you may regret it! Plan time to go to some open reading sessions and bring your own flute and stand, just in case. The events I'm performing in or presenting are listed on the August calendar on the upcoming events section, above.
